Disclosure. openProd publishes this page, and openProd is one of the tools compared. Every other tool is described only with what its vendor states publicly, with a link to the source. Checked on 13 October 2026. If a vendor’s page has changed since, tell us and we will update the entry.
The short answer. Pimcore’s own AI (Copilot actions and the Pimcore Agent Bundle) works on data that is already in Pimcore. For onboarding supplier data, look at Onedot, Rastro or openProd. For enrichment, copy and translation, look at Requestador, the Webkul Pimcore Product Enrichment Agent, PIMplify or WISEPIM. For AI agents on Pimcore data, start with the Pimcore Agent Bundle and its MCP integration. This is a comparison by job, not a ranking.
How we compared
We grouped the tools by the job they do for a Pimcore team:
- Onboarding supplier data: getting supplier files into your Pimcore classes and fields.
- Classification: assigning products to categories or standards.
- Enrichment and copy: descriptions, SEO text, missing attributes.
- Translation: localised copy for Pimcore’s localized fields.
- Agents and MCP: AI assistants that read and change Pimcore data.
For each tool we noted how it works with Pimcore (an extension inside Pimcore, a separate service with a connector, or files), whether a person reviews changes before they are saved, and where it runs. Every statement comes from the vendor’s own page, linked in the text. We did not test the tools hands-on, and we do not repeat vendors’ speed, accuracy or savings figures. “Not stated” means we found no public statement, not that the feature is missing.

Pimcore’s own AI
Start here, because it comes with Pimcore and may be enough for your job.
Pimcore Copilot
The Pimcore Copilot is the starting point for running actions in Pimcore Studio, with a job engine that tracks, stops and restarts long-running jobs. Automation actions run in the background and can ask for user input; interaction actions work like a chat where you refine the result. The included actions cover text generation, a variant generator, asset relation assignment, webhooks, filters and workflow transitions. The Hugging Face action steps add automated translation, text classification, zero-shot text and image classification, image to text, text to image and image upscaling. Pimcore’s AI-driven platform page also mentions zero-shot classification and Copilot assigning attribute values to data objects.
Fits: teams who want classification, translation and copy inside Pimcore, configured by their own Pimcore developers or partner. No Copilot action for importing supplier files is listed.
Pimcore Agent Bundle and MCP
The Pimcore Agent Bundle, listed under Pimcore Labs, adds “AI-powered chat agents for Pimcore Studio with human-in-the-loop write control”. Each write goes through a propose, review and approve pipeline, with no direct writes unless explicitly configured. Agents reach Pimcore through internal MCP servers with tools for data objects, assets, documents and tags, and can call external MCP servers configured per agent. The installation page requires Pimcore 2026.x, Docker for the agent server and the Change Control bundle. Separately, the Studio Backend documentation for the upcoming release describes an MCP server for external clients, marked experimental, where existing Pimcore permissions apply.
Fits: teams on a current Pimcore release who want AI assistants to search and edit Pimcore data under approval.
Onboarding supplier data
These tools work on the step before Pimcore: turning supplier files into data that fits your classes.
Onedot Product Data Onboarding
The Onedot listing in the Pimcore Store covers two jobs. Classification: Onedot AI classifies products to standards such as ETIM and ECLASS, maps classes, features and lists of values, and your team validates the AI’s work. Onboarding: supplier catalogues are sourced through Onedot and imported into Pimcore using your own data model, from CSV, Excel, XML, JSON and text. It also lists normalisation of numbers, units and lists of values, variant grouping, golden records and asset onboarding. It requires a commercial Pimcore licence (Professional, Enterprise or PaaS) and Pimcore 2024.1 or later. More at onedot.com.
Fits: retailers and wholesalers on a commercial Pimcore edition who need ETIM or ECLASS classification with catalogue import.
openProd
openProd is listed in the Pimcore Store as openProd.io AI Data Onboarding. It reads supplier PDFs (product names and specification tables), spreadsheets and pasted text, and matches each value to an attribute of your own catalogue. A Pimcore connector job reads your classes and fields and prepares matching families, attributes, units and dictionaries; when a mapping needs a business decision, the job ends with a question instead of creating it. A weight read as 0.09 kg is saved as 90 when the attribute expects grams, and every value keeps Show in source. Conversions and values without an attribute wait in Data review for a decision. Nothing is written until someone clicks Save to catalog, and a product counts as synchronized only after the result is verified in Pimcore. Values land on your own attributes, units and dictionary codes. See the Pimcore integration.
Fits: teams whose suppliers send their own PDFs and spreadsheets and who want every value checked against their Pimcore model before it is saved.
Rastro
Rastro’s Pimcore integration page says it extracts structured product facts from PDFs and maps supplier spreadsheets into Pimcore classes, localizable fields and classification-store structures. It accepts PDFs, spreadsheets, manufacturer URLs, supplier master data and asset packages. It checks workflow assignment so new objects enter the right review path in Pimcore, and validates channel payloads before an object is treated as ready. How data is written into Pimcore is not stated on the page. Pimcore appears without a “coming soon” label on its integrations list.
Fits: teams that want supplier PDFs and spreadsheets mapped to Pimcore classes and classification store structures.
Enrichment, copy and translation
These tools work on products that are already in Pimcore, or on exports from it.
Requestador AI Workflows
Requestador AI Workflows, by Xiphias d.o.o., is a Pimcore Store plugin that automates product classification, data enrichment, content generation, multilingual translation and SEO content through configurable, reusable workflows. It combines language model output with validation rules, transformation logic and business rules, and writes structured results into Pimcore data fields. The listing names Pimcore 11.x and 12.x with the Classic Admin UI. Extraction from supplier files is not stated on the listing. Documentation is at requestador.com.
Fits: Pimcore 11 or 12 teams who want configurable AI workflows for enrichment and translation without custom code.
Webkul Pimcore Product Enrichment Agent
The Webkul Pimcore Product Enrichment Agent is a self-contained Pimcore 12 Studio bundle, according to Webkul’s description. It has eight enrichment tasks: long and short descriptions, SEO meta, attribute extraction, category suggestions, image alt text, brand-voice rewrites and localised copy. An inline preview runs one product and writes nothing. Generated values go to a review queue, and only approved values are written to products. The store page says it connects to several AI providers through one service layer. Importing supplier files is not stated.
Fits: Pimcore 12 teams who want AI copy with an approval step inside Studio.
WISEPIM
WISEPIM’s AI for Pimcore page describes brand-voice copy, filling missing attributes from EAN, structuring specs, translation and GTIN checks. Data comes in as a CSV or Excel export from Pimcore, a scheduled fetch or through the WISEPIM API, and goes back as a file you load with Pimcore’s importer, or through your own script. The page says WISEPIM never writes into Pimcore itself, and its comparison page says WISEPIM has no direct Pimcore connector.
Fits: teams who want enrichment and translation in a separate app and are fine moving files.
PIMplify
PIMplify’s Pimcore page describes product copy and attribute enrichment for Pimcore. You export from the Pimcore grid view to CSV or XLSX, upload the file, and re-import the enriched file with the grid import or the Data Importer; localized column syntax is kept. A REST API, GraphQL and webhooks are offered, and no Pimcore bundle is needed. Processing runs in PIMplify’s cloud.
Fits: teams who want copy and attribute enrichment from Pimcore exports without installing anything.
Agents and MCP beyond Pimcore
If AI assistants should work with product data, the Pimcore Agent Bundle covers data inside Pimcore. openProd has its own MCP server for AI assistants working with the openProd catalogue, and a documented REST API. An onboarding layer with MCP and an agent inside Pimcore do different jobs: one prepares supplier data, the other works on the catalogue after it is saved.
Which fits by job
- Supplier PDFs and spreadsheets into your Pimcore model, checked before saving: openProd or Rastro. Compare with three of your own files.
- ETIM or ECLASS classification with catalogue import: Onedot Product Data Onboarding.
- Classification, translation or copy inside Pimcore: start with Pimcore Copilot actions; add Requestador for configurable workflows on Pimcore 11 or 12, or the Webkul agent for an approval queue on Pimcore 12.
- Copy and translation outside Pimcore: WISEPIM or PIMplify, with file or API exchange.
- AI agents on Pimcore data under approval: the Pimcore Agent Bundle and its MCP integration.
Many teams combine tools: onboarding first, enrichment after. For the onboarding step in detail, see how to onboard supplier product data into Pimcore, and for tools beyond Pimcore, our comparison of supplier product data onboarding tools. To see openProd with one of your files, book a demo.
